George Will’s most recent column touches on Iraq, racism, the ingredients of democracy (culture and politics) and John Locke. Quite a feat. Yet, the best line from the whole piece comes from Alexander Hamilton:
“I have thought it my duty to exhibit things as they are, not as they ought to be.” That is the core of conservatism. Amen to that.
