Have to ask it. The closed-door huddling which started yesterday and carried over to this morning is probably — and this is just via echoes of whispers in the local legal community — about finding a way to carve Arvin Fant out of this case so that it might proceed.
But that is likely proving easier said than done as no one really knows what Fant knows — or has done. Hence all the “investigation” afoot, especially of the notion that there was a second serious suspect in the case.
