Here’s an interesting public relations Web site from Chevron. Some of the energy-saving tips on the homepage: leave the car at home more, carpool to work, and take the golf clubs out of the trunk (?). The latter reminds me of Obama?s tire-inflation suggestion.

A must-see on this site: the Energy Generator. You get to mix and match your energy saving techniques to see what effect they?ll have in the real world.

For example, replacing one light bulb in your house with a CFL would save enough energy to recharge your laptop 1,027 times! And if 1,000 people joined you, you could power a roller coaster for 34 days. Even better, if you installed 9 CFLs, you could ride that roller coaster for almost a year!

Of course, the pink elephant in the living room is the miniscule impact ditching the golf clubs from your trunk would have on worldwide emissions. That’s especially true considering what China is doing…

At least these people are riding bikes, right?
