Is there a more spineless group of people in America these days than college presidents? This guy at Kutztown University
is typical. When College Republicans set up an “Affirmative Action Bake
Sale” and lefties get their BVDs in a wad, his reaction was 1) agree
with the protestors, 2) call the bake sale objectionable, 3) give a
lukewarm free-speech endorsement, and 4) plan a forum for people to
vent. Blah, blah, blah.
When is a college president going to do
the right thing, which is tell the protestors it’s a free country, tell
them to deal with it, tell them that free speech isn’t meant to protect
speech we agree with but speech with which we disagree, and, finally,
tell them to act like grownups and get over it?
Oh, never mind. College presidents that candid get fired.
