The Progressive Pulse reports that Rep. Pricey Harrison has co-sponsored a bill that would repeal the law allowing out-of-state athletes to qualify for in-state tuition.
The Pulse says the law as it stands creates a windfall for booster clubs at UNC and N.C State at a cost to taxpayers of $32 million. But it doesn’t explain exactly how they reap that windfall.
