Jeff Sykes— via Conservative NC — has the list N.C. cities’ supposedly ‘shovel-ready’ projects.
Note that Greensboro isn’t on the list, while Winston-Salem’s list is a mile long. Just scrolling through, a couple of projects jump out:
*$4.5 million for parks, playgrounds and recreation centers;
*$1 million for ‘public infrastructure’ to support film and theater production (what does that mean?);
*$1 million for greenways and trails (of course;)
*$9.5 million for LEED certification fr the public safety center;
*last but not least, a total of $38 million Piedmont Triad Research Park infrastructure. One little problem: the city’s having developer problems on a major section of PTRP.
Stimulating, indeed.
