Mocksville optometrist Bonnie Aiken Grigsby testified she never intended for her personal checks to end up in the hands of former state Rep. Michael Decker.

Grigsby testified this morning that she turned over a series of blank $100 checks to the N.C. Optometric Society’s political action committee.

Records of some of those checks show they were cashed by “Mike Decker” or “Michael Decker” — not his campaign committee.

Elections board chairman Larry Leake asked Grigsby whether she knew Decker. “No, sir,” she replied.

Leake asked whether she knew Decker would cash those checks. “No, sir,” Grigsby replied.

“Would you have expected or wanted that to happen?” Leake asked.

“No, sir,” she replied.
