The Journal editorialists have some advice for Forsyth County commissioners regarding the downtown stadium:

They should realize that this overall project, while it would certainly bring revitalization to a blighted area of downtown, would have public benefits beyond the city borders. It would bring major growth to the county’s tax base. It would bring economic development in many forms, including jobs and improving the county’s overall quality of life. That quality must continue to be enhanced to attract new residents and companies.

They also have some advice for Billy Prim:

Prim could help his case by being more open to the public about his negotiations with commissioners, because public buy-in to this project involving major tax dollars is essential.

Too bad Prim’s lack of openness didn’t bother the city council.
