I’ll follow up on allegations that a computer tech teacher at Parkland High School sexually battered another student after school officials failed to report previous allegations to law enforcement officials.

Here’s the deal : Steven Waddell was arrested back in April and charged with taking indecent liberties with a student, a felony, and misdemeanor sexual battery. Now we learn that another student had reported similar allegations to school officials back in 2006, but Drew Davis —-the school system attorney suspended with pay in September pending an SBI investigation —– never reported those allegations to police.

School officials are grudgingly acknowledging the breakdown, and the only thing that will make matters right is a housecleaning. Meanwhile, the system braces for a lawsuit.
