The state has told Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools that they’re looking at budget cuts of more than $10 million.

The system is looking at more furloughs, and they’re hoping to somehow be able to furlough employees being paid by the state, though it’s not clear how they would pull that off, considering they don’t have that authority.

Another option is reducing foreign language at all elementary schools. Sounds reasonable on the face of it, though school officials aren’t sure how much money it would save.
