Let’s see who — if anyone — on the Raleigh City Council steps up to take Michael Sanera’s challenge that council members themselves give up the garbage disposals they foolishly banned a couple weeks back. My rough guess, exactly zero.
I know that if I lived in Raleigh I’d install a damn wood-chipper under my sink and punch the first government flunky who came by to say boo about it. Most people know how to use a garbage disposal and banning them will not stop fools from putting grease in the city sewer lines, the supposed aim of the ban. Disposals have been a boon to the residential waste stream as much, much less wet garbage must be trucked to landfills as a result.
Didn’t much talk about that in Raleigh did they? Of course not, because they are manifestly idiots. And hypocrites.
