I was low on gas anyway, so I rushed out this morning to buy gas before the price went up. So did a lot of other people, although the crowd cleared out pretty quickly and wasn’t to big a hassle.

Exxon down the street was at $3.65 this morning. Later, I drove past Steve’s Friendly Amoco and he was already up to $4.12. But several other places, including the neighborhood Exxon, were still holding at $3.65, though I expect that to change.

Steve’s was my favorite place to get gas because it’s one of the few places where you pump your gas then walk in and pay. I try to avoid using a credit card for gas, and, especially these days, you never really know how exactly how much gas you need. But Steve’s has had consistenly had the highest prices during overall surge, so I’ve had to stay away.
