Really, you should pay cash money for this.

Wow, Republicans really turned out in Meck for Pat McCrory — and John McCain! Turnout is actually higher in the GOP primary — prez and guv — than in the Dem. I’ll buy a car for anyone that predicted that. The numbers are enough to push McCrory into the general without a runoff.

Dulin-Rucho for state senate is closer, might even be late. Rucho holds a slight lead with 90 percent of precincts reporting. He should hold on. Later still, Mackey-Saunders. Reporting is very slow, but Mackey has built a sustainable lead.

Here’s another fun one — school board laugh track Vilma Leake big over county commissioner Norman Mitchell. That’s Nick Mackey 2, Status Quo 0. Wacky.

And I’ll cop to being surprised by the size of Neil Cooksey’s lead in the race to replace Dan Bishop on the county commission. Jaye Rao and Ada Nicolay were both credible, serious candidates. Bishop’s endorsement might have been the difference.

Update: Looks like Rucho is gonna hold on to top Dulin, which would be a massive rebuke to Dulin’s strategy of trying to tie himself to McCrory. The precinct numbers will tell the tale, but manifestly McCrory voters went ahead and voted for Rucho despite Dulin’s urgings to do otherwise.

Update: Indian Trail went for beer and wine on-premises sales in an attempt to attract dining options. Chains do not look at an area otherwise. Calls for a vid tribute:
