At last night’s meeting, things got a bit testy between Alamance County Commissioner Bill Lashley and Fairness Alamance spokesman David Blair.

I’ll quickly set the stage. Blair was speaking before commissioners, urging them the county to cooperate with the Department of Justice investigation into alleged racial profiling by the sheriff’s office. Sounds like tempers flared a bit during the debate before Blair and Lasheley took it outside:

Outside the County Office Building shortly after the meeting, Lashley threatened to physically beat Blair and cursed at him when Blair tried to introduce himself to the commissioner.

(County Commissioner Tim) Sutton said Blair pushed his way through the crowd and tried to greet Lashley in an “arrogant” way.

Meanwhile, County Attorney Clyde Albright is accusing Fairness Alamance member Hannah Gill of engaging in political activity while on the job at UNC-Chapel Hill.
