Sen. Kay Hagan will back the SCHIP bill, tobacco industry be damned. Correct me if I’m wrong, but during the campaign, Hagan said that if she were senator —- which she is now —– she would find a compromise to taxing the tobacco industry to pay for SCHIP. Instead —again correct me if I’m wrong — we get a party line vote with lip service.

Meanwhile, Rep. Pricey Harrison says she won’t co-sponsor a bill by Alamance County Rep. Cary Allred to keep the Jordan Lake Rules from going into effect, despite the huge cost, despite cities’ opposition, despite questions about their effectiveness.

There you have it. You like?
