The N&R says there’s no need to move Demario Atwater’s federal carjacking trial to another state, reasoning that “North Carolina jurors must be trusted in state courts, and they should be trusted in federal courts.”
Agreed, although — as you can probably imagine —- I’m not really down with the supporting logic that states “the government believes it’s possible to find jurors who can hear the evidence and render a fair verdict” in the trial of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed.
