Coach Jim John Fox has suspended WR Steve Smith two games for punching CB Ken Lucas in the face and breaking Lucas’ nose yesterday morning at practice.
Seems fair to me, although some Panthers fans wanted more, others wanted less.
The Panthers need to win football games, period. Smith helps them do that when healthy, when his head is on right, when he is trusting his teammates. Guess we’ll find out in the third game about that. But the Panthers do absolutely have more depth at WR than ever, enough to compete for wins for a couple weeks without Smith.
