This week the Chapel Hill Herald interviewed John Hood about county commissioners heading off to Hawaii for the National Association of Counties convention. In Wednesday’s Daily Journal, Hood made note of the fact the commissioners were defending themselves using
talking points created by the NC Association of County Commissioners.
“Rather than prepping for the press,” he wrote, “commissioners should
have used better judgment ahead of time.” He suggested that counties
consider sending one representative and attend meetings closer to home
especially since many counties are looking at raising property taxes
again.
