CLI‘s By the Numbers report continues to make news.  Added to the growing list of media notices – the Sanford Herald and the Rocky Mount Telegram.  Writing about a different set of numbers, director of academic and educational programs, Dr. Karen Palasek tells readers of the Sandhills Business Times that
raising the minimum wage in order to increase productivity is the only
way to raise wages without sacrificing workers.  Raising it to
match the rate of inflation – a justification often used – will only
lead to a higher rate of unemployment.
