So says Graham resident Winstead Sharpe to his Chapel Hill neighbors weighing in on Alamance County’s 287 (g) enforcement:

Regarding the county commissioners meeting on Monday evening, there were a number of individuals there who were screaming about our county 287(g) program. I would like to point out that these few people do not represent the majority of the people of this county.

I am confident that 99.9 percent of the people of Alamance County support Sheriff Terry Johnson and this program.

I understand that many of these people at the meeting were from Chapel Hill. I suggest they stay in Chapel Hill and worry about Orange County. I would strongly suggest that these liberals from Chapel Hill go to Mexico or Spain and try to pull this. I can assure you it would be the last time they demonstrated about anything.

I think it was Jesse Helms that said that Chapel Hill is the nation’s largest zoo without a fence.
