Interesting story down in Davidson County, where DavidsonWorks director Nancy Borrell has resigned after coming under fire from county commissioners for spending $34k in fed money for a ‘jobs summit’ at the Sapona Country Club.
The Lexington Dispatch says the criticism was “justified,” noting that Borrell appeared before commissioners “expecting to laud some of the successes of her agency,” but instead “she found herself on the defensive for the summit spending.”
