Word is legislative budget writers will work the weekend on the state budget and hope to pass it by the end of next week. When that happens, we’ll be hearing and reading about the $20 billion or so the document addresses.
Keep in mind, however, that North Carolina actually receives and spends about $49 billion each year, which means 60 percent of the budget is virtually hidden from public view and discussion. JLF’s Joe Coletti explains in in this brief interview.
