Asheville City Councilwoman Robin Cape announced she will seek re-election as a write-in candidate. During the filing period, she stated that personal issues were preventing her from running for office again. Those issues have now been resolved, and Cape is responding to a groundswell of insistence that she seek re-election. Before serving on city council, Cape ran successfully as a write-in candidate for the Woodfin water board.
Cape won’t have to pay a filing fee. Will she have to disclose information about contributions?
