In this Washington Post piece, Tina Brown recoils in horror at hearing a waiter at a posh Manhattan dinner party interrupt a group of 12 “power players,” who are wringing their hands “about the mess in Iraq,” to tell them he is voting for Bush because Kerry is “all over the place” on the issues.

The ONLY reason she can think of for this thoughtless peon to possibly support Bush is because “the Republican attack machine” and “dark and devilish as Karl Rove” have masterfully manipulated his feeble mind with their sinister campaign of misinformation about John Kerry. It’s a hilarious peek inside the mind of someone who is so insulated that she simply cannot imagine anyone independently reasoning his way to a position that varies so strongly from her own. Such a person simply must be a simple-minded victim of deceitful campaign advertising.
