(MSM: handy Internet shorthand for mainstream media)

I was just writing about this, and lo and behold, here’s another example:

Despite Drop in Crime, an Increase in Inmates

The New York Times goes on to describe it as “the paradox of a falling crime rate but a rising prison population.”

What’s the paradox? Fewer criminals on the streets means fewer crimes being committed.
