Wal-Mart has been under attack from unions and other leftists for so long, it is hard to remember a time when the company was not considered the greatest evil in the economy.

It’s reputation is about to receive an extreme makeover with new support for universal health care.

Consider this quote from the December 11 Fortune magazine:

Wal-Mart “made $11.2 billion in profits last year,” says Kofinis. “If they took even a few billion of that and used it to pay better wages and provide more affordable health care, they could change their public image overnight. They would be a model employer.”
