For those in Charlotte who wonder what happened to former Superintendent Eric Smith, and former Interim Superintendent Frances Haithcock, just look south to Florida. Last year the State School Board hired Eric Smith to be Florida?s Education Commissioner, and now Eric has hired Frances Haithcock as the ?new? K-12 Public Schools Chancellor.  Eric Smith brought Haithcock to Charlotte, and now brings her to work with him in Florida.
