As Robert Pittenger wins the Republican primary in the lieutenant governor’s race, two Republicans waged a close battle to take his job as senator for District 39.
With more than 14,000 votes tallied, Pittenger’s former Senate colleague Robert Rucho leads Andy Dulin 52 percent to 48 percent.
