The News & Observer editorial
is hilarious/scary. It isn’t just that the paper thinks North
Carolinians shouldn’t be allowed to vote on proposed county tax
increases. The even more amazing thing to me is the paper wants
to dismantle that darn “voting obstacle” to raising county taxes because North Carolinians have clearly expressed their opposition to such tax increases.
The
newspaper might as well come out and say they support democracy, with a
small caveat: All voting results must be consistent with their views.
