A new ruling from the N.C. Court of Appeals would allow a New Hanover County deputy sheriff to collect more money in connection with a 2003 car chase that injured him.
Lawyers for the deputy, Ernest Curry, argued successfully that he should get an additional $100,000 from the North Carolina Association
of County Commissioners’ North Carolina Counties Liability and
Property Joint Risk Management Agency.
