The U.S. Department of Education released a report that evaluated 84 studies of 22 dropout prevention interventions. The most successful programs were:
1. Accelerated Middle Schools
2. ALAS (Achievement for Latinos through Academic Success)
3. Career Academies
4. Check & Connect
None of the above research-based dropout interventions were funded by North Carolina’s dropout prevention grant program.
