Ah, I wondered when the state Democratic power structure would attempt to deflect and diffuse this story. But I didn’t think it would be Bob Jordan saying something that is flat out ridiculous.
Oh, and speaking of ridiculous, Dan Gerlach. Why does this ijit still have a state job? The emails NCSU provided the feds conclusively show that Gerlach knew from the outset that McQueen Campbell was out hunting up a NCSU job for Mary Easley. Yet Gerlach stayed silent on that point, right through the infamous — and wholly misleading — Board of Governors “not a shred” of undue influence report of last fall.
How can this guy possibly be trusted to do the people’s business now? Even in North Carolina.
