Davidson gets a C. NC State, UNC and Duke get Bs. That’s the result of the new “What Will They Learn” college guide website just put online by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni.

ACTA looked at the curriculum requirements for science, math, economics, US history or government, literature, English composition and foreign language.  To receive an A, a college must require students to take 6 or 7 of those courses.  The course usually missing is economics.  Only West Point and University of Alaska-Fairbanks require economics.

Williams College, tuition $37,000, received an F.  The A list is short, only 7 of the 125 schools reviewed.  See the full list of grades here.
