Democratic former U.S. Rep. Bob Etheridge, the only North Carolina congressional incumbent to lose in 2010, has tossed his hat into the gubernatorial ring. Etheridge lost to Renee Ellmers in the 2nd District race, and since leaving office has been tabbed by outgoing Gov. Bev Perdue to be the state’s stimulus czar and disaster czar.
We’ll remember Etheridge for this, of course.
