Recently, a professor at the Cardozo law school wrote a Huffington Post piece extolling the state and decrying libertarianism. Here, two Cardozo students dismantle his arguments.

It’s amazing how often you encounter people like Professor Yankah who assume that people can’t cooperate voluntarily to accomplish good objectives, and simultaneously that the coercion the state employs has no ill effects. A more realistic assessment would be that state power is almost never useful in accomplishing good objectives and that its coercion is at the root of enormous waste and suffering.
