More outdoor adventure: The U.S. Forest Service is planning to burn 42 acres in Bent Creek, where Wild West blogger Leslee Kulba likes to hike and I like to mountain bike.

Evidently “prescribed fire is one of many tools used by forest managers to achieve desired future conditions in managed forests.” The Forest Service must also meet federal air quality standards when conducting the burn.
