The news trucks are lined up on Market Street around the corner onto Eugene Street in anticipation of a verdict in the John Edwards trial:
Jurors will begin deliberating this morning. Raleigh attorney and former federal prosecutor Kieran Shanahan, who has been sitting in on the trial, said the jury could render a verdict as soon as today.
“Often when a jury gets a case late in the week, momentum builds among the jurors to finish the deliberations and render a verdict by Friday afternoon,” Shanahan said. “That being said, due to there being six counts and the complexity of the case, the jury may not reach a verdict until next week.”
I’ll go out on a limb and say the Breck Girl walks, which is fine with me. Exposing him for what he is and knowing he will never be anywhere near the leadership of the free world is good enough.
