The Speech Police are not going to like what Atlantic columnist Wendy Kaminer has to say about the nonsensical nature of ‘hate speech’ and the intellectual dishonesty upon  which it is built. Kaminer sat for this interview with the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE). Kaminer is a FIRE Board of Advisors member. Discourse could improve a lot, she says, if people learned how to argue their points rather than shout down the person with whom they disagree. Still, for way too many today, the definition of free speech is speech with which they agree. ‘Hate speech’ is the speech with which they disagree.
