Henderson County agreed to pay a $5,000 deductible as part of a lawsuit settlement involving Sheriff Rick Davis despite having no details of the allegations or reason for the agreement.
County Attorney Russ Burrell said Wednesday that the county has no policy for handling a misconduct liability claim or deductible payments.
But then, law enforcement in the area is a prime target for attack.
