The state ranks sixth in the nation in unemployment and has failed to gain any net new jobs in five years, still digging out of the steep losses to the labor force in the Great Recession.
Translated, that means corporate welfare isn’t working and hasn’t worked. We must therefore redouble our expenditures thereon.
