That Harvard poll may be a confirmation of what Michael Barone suggested when he was here in October: Conservatives (and maybe even Republicans, if they don’t blow it) have an opportunity to capture the imagination and passion of young adults if they can convince youthful voters that a freedom agenda can release them from what Barone called the “straitjacket” policies of the Left.

All that hopey-changey stuff may have sounded great on the campaign trail, but it has a price attached, in debt, higher taxes, and stifling regulations. To the degree that the political Left of my generation tries to saddle you youngsters with the bill for its excesses, what a delight it would be if y’all said, “No thanks.”
