The mainstream media is far from objective, unless of course it comes to terrorist groups.

From an AP article:

Here are some aspects of the blockade:

When: Israel and Egypt imposed the blockade after the Islamic militant Hamas violently overran the Gaza Strip in June 2007.

Why:
Israel considers Hamas a terror group responsible for firing thousands
of rockets at Israel and carrying out dozens of suicide terror attacks.

Egypt is concerned that Hamas’ strict Islamic message could boost
Muslim radicals in Egypt.
[Emphasis added]

From this “objective” reporter’s perspective, Hamas may or may not be a terror group, so it is best to say Israel considers them to be a terror group.

I wonder what the editorial guidance is in newsrooms.  It is probably something like this: When it comes to discussing terrorists or America’s enemies, be objective to make sure you don’t take sides (unless you want to take their side), but when it comes to discussing anything else, be left-wing and slam the nutty conservatives.
