Oh, and the now de rigueur element of Queen City development dreams — tax increment financing for the project. TIF — that’s bureaucrat-ese for “we won’t be paying taxes to the general fund, suckers.”
Speaking for Charlotte’s beat-up taxpayers, no thanks Jeffrey Loira. Tell fast-talking team president David Samson to stay away from easily confused Parks Helms. There is absolutely nothing major league about the Marlin franchise.
