Color me “meh” over John Fox’s new hires for the Carolina Panthers. An offensive line coach in the offensive coordinator slot, slidng your longtime TE coach over to coach the OL — Fox is telling us he likes his system, but just wants better execution, especially from the running game.
There’s something to be said for sticking to your plan and Foxy’s plan starts with be able to the run the ball. But other teams are not just going to sit back and let that happen, hence it becomes a matter of adjustments very quickly.
Fox’s new crew will have to prove they can respond.
