Huge win for UNCC in Uptown Charlotte last night. Wake? Well Wake better find its shooting eye before they head back to Charlotte for the ACC tourney — or its gonna be a long season.
Both teams jacked far too many 3-balls, going a combined 9-40 in the process. That is not winning basketball. Except if your opponent does it too, I guess.
The crowd almost hit the 10K mark, which means UNCC drew better Uptown vs. the ACC than it did to open the season vs. App. St. on campus. Doesn’t really tell us much, aside from confirming that UNC is the program that fills buildings in Charlotte.
Accordingly, my guess is the dook-Davidson crowd tomorrow will not be a sellout.
