Three more felony convictions for the Jim Black gang. This time it was former state Rep. Thomas Wright (D-Wilmington) on three fraud charges stemming from his handling of non-profit dollars.

Wright’s attorney is making bold claims about getting the verdict overturned due to pre-trial publicity. Fat chance. Or should I say fat chance in a state with a functioning criminal justice system. This is where things get interesting.

Does Wright have more dirt he could spill? Or was he basically kept out of the loop by the rest of the gang that is still at large at the moment? My guess is the latter — or the prosecution would’ve never gotten this far. But I don’t have much of a criminal mind.
