Kinda the magic question around Wells-chovia these days. All I know is that having Charlotte lumped in with Des Moines is not going to sit well with the Center City Partners crowd.
Seriously, this should be a pretty cut and dried figure to pry out of Wells Fargo leadership. We just know to need know the total number of hubquarters, the number of jobs at each, and then derive a working average of jobs across all of them. That should give us some notion of the total number of Wells jobs we can expect for Wells to have in Charlotte.
But it sure sounds like the idea that Charlotte would be an East Coast co-equal to Wells’ Bay Area base of operations has gone by the wayside. If it was ever anything besides a pipe dream to begin with.
