Now there’s a surprise.

The Uptown paper of record’s official line on C.L. McClure is that as soon as four gun-toting thugs left his ransacked home, McClure should have untied himself and his wife, dialed 911, and waited for CMPD to arrive to fill out a police report. Under absolutely no circumstances is a citizen of the republic to attempt to further society’s interest in apprehending violent criminals. Citizens are victims and must at all times comport themselves as such.

And to up the victimhood quotient, check this out: “If this model is followed, how long will it be before a robbery victim, seeking revenge, shoots an innocent person on the street?”

Yeah, we can’t have random Joes offing the innocent in the name of crime control — that is CMPD’s job.

If the Uptown crowd is really worried about innocent life, we patiently await their plans to re-direct millions in public dollars from their pet causes to the hiring of more prosecutors. Until then, stay scared citizens. The status quo likes you that way.
