The Carolina Panthers go either 6-10 or 10-6 this season. This year’s team could be either good or bad. The combination of a new offensive coordinator and a suspect offensive line makes it difficult to know what to expect when the Panthers have the ball. The defensive front seven look stout, but the secondary could be a problem. While there’s always an amount of uncertainty going into any season, the variability simply is greater this year.
I will say that the biggest disappointment has been the team’s failure to upgrade its offensive line in the off season. The team has exactly two O-linemen under the age of 32 on its roster that were drafted out of a Division I college program. And that’s just asking for trouble.
