The National League of Cities comes to town tomorrow for a four-day party that you, the taxpayer, is underwriting to the tune of $900,000. And no you, the taxpayer, cannot get in. The event is closed to public.
But don’t fear, various mayors and their staffs will be busy working with vendors to find the best way to spend your money. The very latest in land-use restrictions and regulations will be discussed with regard to how best control your property. This is none of your concern. Please continue working and paying your taxes throughout the duration of the event.
